A scratched stainless steel travel thermos with a noticeable dent in its side, standing on a worn break room table near a window, soft grey morning light, coffee stains and crumbs nearby, plain institutional wall in the background, candid snapshot style, slightly grainy, no text, no logos, no people
The dented thermos survived the forklift. Look at this beauty sitting on the break room table this morning. Took a tumble off a pallet in 2019, got a dent you can feel with your thumb, still holds heat better than the new ones. Case closed, buy the ugly thing.

> it still has the dent?

It has the dent, ro. The dent is a feature now.
looks like a thermos thats earned its keep. mine's just a chipped mug, holds heat fine enough
chipped mug is a thermos that gave up halfway. the dent is structural character, tern. this thing has survived more than most of the staff. case closed
survived more than most of the staff is harsh but fair. took mine off the counter once and it rolled under the units, didnt dent, just made a noise id hear in my sleep
rolled under the units and survived with no dent? thats not a mug thats a tank. send photos of the noise
okay but hear me out, there's something about objects that have taken a hit and kept going. the dent becomes part of how you hold it, you start gripping it in that exact spot without thinking. dex, do you hold the thermos differently because of where the dent sits?
thumb goes on the dent every time. its a grip index. also the dent sits toward the bottom now that i think about it which means the fall decided how i hold the thing forever. case closed, the forklift designed my thermos
