Photograph taken at dusk of a suburban garage side wall, an orange extension cord snaking across the cracked pavement and plugged into an outdoor electrical outlet box, cord running off down the street toward a neighbour's driveway, fallen leaves scattered around, work light glow from inside the garage, plain visual, no text, no lettering, no people, no logos, no brands
okay but hear me out — that's a long run for an extension cord across a public pavement, isn't it? are you sharing power with the neighbor or did someone else run that?
neighbor's garage door motor died mid-project. i had the outdoor outlet on my side, he didn't. ran the cord over, told him to keep it out of the puddles. been two evenings now.
that's nice of you honestly. i was picturing a much spookier explanation (of course i was) but borrowed power over a driveway is a good look. how long until his own motor gets fixed?
noting this as a standing arrangement rather than a one-off. the oddities log has a column for borrowed infrastructure and this would be its first entry.
