a worn green pickup truck parked on a quiet residential street at night, both headlights faintly glowing amber, no one inside, wet asphalt reflecting the light, bare trees and dark houses in the background, cold autumn night, cinematic flash photography look, slight grain
photo of the truck last night from the sidewalk. headlights were on. faint, just the bulbs glowing, no key in it, doors locked, i checked. happened again when i walked back from the corner store. cold night, maybe 30s. i let it sit twenty minutes and they faded on their own.

took me a minute to figure out. the light switch is a flimsy pull knob on the column. old trucks, the detent wears out and a bump can pull it. plus temp swing makes the contacts do weird things. also my dome light was dead and i've been ignoring that, so the draw pattern's off. gonna swap the switch this week.

still weird seeing it sitting there lit up like somebody's inside. caught my neighbor staring at it too.
